Mingde “MT” Zeng
Mingde “MT” Zeng is a Chinese-Canadian computer scientist, open-source AI engineer, and artist based in Toronto. His computational work spans large language models, agentic systems, AI infrastructure, and developer tools, with a focus on making complex systems accessible through open-source software.
MT’s projects include Genomi, Aidermacs, Emacs Application Framework, emigo, and M-EMACS. Together, his open-source projects have received more than 6,000 GitHub stars, and his work is preserved in the GitHub Arctic Code Vault. He presented Emacs Application Framework at EmacsConf in 2020 and 2021 and co-presented lsp-bridge in 2022.
MT’s computational and artistic practices inform one another, with each reshaping the questions and methods of the other.
